Anne Michelle “Shell” | Licensed Massage Therapist
The Spa Setting has been the most satisfying and rewarding experience in my Massage Therapy career. Unlike a medical setting the Spa offers a peaceful and relaxing environment to clients, but at the same time, provides therapeutic treatments that ALL people need, whether addressing an injury, relieving tight muscles as a result of repetitive motion, or just good old fashioned stress.
Before becoming a Massage Therapist, I spent 12 years serving as a volunteer in Brooklyn and Patterson, New York, and have had the opportunity to enjoy one of my greatest passions: performing with large groups of Tap and Irish Dancers!! I graduated in 2007 from Cortiva-Humanities Center of Pinellas. Having a love and empathy for people brought me to the healthcare field; to listen and address real concerns. I am certified in many types of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, Swedish or Deep Tissue Massage, Neuromuscular, Trigger Point Work, Myofacial Release and Manual Lymphatic Drainage or “MLD”. (MA# 52352)
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD). What is it? A healthy active Lymphatic System helps to eliminate your body’s waste. However, fluids can build up in your lymph system and lymph nodes due to surgery, injuries, or other inflammatory conditions. This is where Manual Lymphatic Drainage assists by reducing inflammation. MLD Treatment is beneficial for most anyone and is not limited to but especially effective for the following:
- After Detoxing
- After Injury
- Alternative Treatment for Sinuses
- Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
- Feeling Low on Energy
- Migraine Headaches
- Optimizing Your Lymph System for a Stronger Immune System
- Palliative Care
- Pre and Post Surgery
- Or just the need to “Relax” from the stress of Day to Day life.
